Silvertone
Vintage Silvertone 1446 'Chris Isaak' Guitar - USA 1961-65
Pickup currently unavailable
Introducing the Silvertone 1446, famously known as the 'Chris Isaak' guitar.
Isaak's connection with this instrument spans decades, primarily originating from a widely recognised promotional image featuring him holding one in the mid-'80s. However, Isaak isn't the sole enthusiast of this model, and several distinct features position the 1446 as a premier choice among sought-after Harmony-built guitars.
Notably, its pickups are a standout feature. These mini-humbuckers, distinguished by split pole pieces and uniquely shaped bezels, were meticulously crafted by Seth Lover, manufactured by Gibson, and are exclusive to this particular model. Furthermore, the inclusion of a Bigsby tremolo system sets it apart from the less robust contraptions found on lower-tier Silvertone electric guitars. Lastly, the undeniable coolness factor of this guitar is impossible to ignore.
This would have to be one of the cleanest examples that we could find on the internet, this thing is in stunning condition. The guitar plays very nicely with a smooth, low action, all electronics work as they should and it presents as stock out of the factory.
These don't come up all that often, especially in this sort of condition, so make a move while it lasts!
Comes in its original chipboard case with original plastic protective body cover.
