SOLD - Vintage Gibson Les Paul Standard Arctic White - USA 1989

Take a look at this exquisite and exceptionally rare 1989 Gibson Les Paul Standard, featuring its original Alpine White finish complemented by gold hardware. This particular variation of the Les Paul Standard, produced in the '89, is highly sought after and embodies a unique coolness. It comes equipped with factory-installed, Bill Lawrence designed Gibson pickups and gold hardware enhancing its distinct and stylish vibe.

The guitar was bought by the current owner in Manly 30 years ago as a gift for his son. It has been well looked after since then and has been played fairly seldomly only in home settings, the guitar has never spent time gigging on the road.

As a result, this LP Standard is in overall excellent condition, with only minor signs of play wear and a few small paint dings on the side of the body, adding a touch of character to this remarkable instrument. The Arctic White has characteristically faded to a creamy yellow which these models tend to do, adding to its vintage appeal. There are a few cosmetic marks on the back and back of neck where the guitar presumably has been sitting in a stand.

This LP has plenty of grunt with a heap of tonal variety in the original Gibson humbuckers - meaty and snarly at full gas but clean up very nicely when rolled back. The pickups are responsive and articulate, offering a wide-range of possibilities for the player.
