This is a very early ’57 Fender Stratocaster Reissue built at the original Fullerton factory in 1982. This is a very rare, early example of the best of Fender workmanship from an era when the brand had got its engineering credibility back by assigning its best craftsmen to these early vintage reissues. This year pre-dates the establishment of the Fender Custom Shop by five years and it was these elite craftsmen that went on to be the first Master Builders at Fender.
This guitar features all the desired '57 Fender specs and appointments and it has been played in nicely with over three decades of added character.
This guitar is in fabulous condition. Very simply it is hard to believe this instrument is into its 42nd year. There are a few light marks here and there, but the nitro lacquer is almost unblemished with no crazing whatsoever, quite incredible really!
This AVRI Strat is equipped with three rare and desirable red bobbin pickups. They were only made at the Fullerton plant, they are extremely hard to come by and sound absolutely fantastic. A real selling point of this beautiful guitar.
It is super clean for its age, and it is in completely unmolested original condition. Nothing has been changed or updated because nothing needed to be. No modifications no repairs no issues. Just a great sounding pre-Custom Shop reissue of a Fender classic in excellent shape.
Comes in its original Fender hard case in good condition.
