From Taylor –
“The Taylor 600 series has been enhanced with new design features to bring their historically bright tone into a richer, warmer, and more complex voice. With the 614ce, Taylor has updated the Sitka Spruce Top by using torrefaction, which is a roasting process that offers better resonance and responsiveness – it also provides a slightly darker, Cedar-like look.
The back and sides of this guitar are constructed from Maple to provide a crisp, bright tone that perfectly complements the Spruce top. A new customized bracing scheme and wood thickness brings out some new dimensions which produce enhanced warmth, balance, and sustain, while a Maple-specific bracing profile for the backs enhance responsiveness.
The 614ce offers a special hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain giving it a rich, vintage look without adding extra thickness to the finish. Another great feature is the use of protein glues for the bracing and bridge, which optimizes the sound transfer between components. A behind the saddle piezo pickup design with Expression System 2 electronics results in an amplified acoustic tone that’s simple to use, just plug and play!”

Taylor guitars are often described as being “built from the neck up”. Bob Taylor has long expressed the opinion that there is no reason an acoustic guitar should more difficult to play than an electric. And that is certainly the case with this guitar.
We've come to expect quality and innovation from Taylor, and this guitar reflects that expectation. The fit and finish is excellent, and top-shelf appointments and beautiful fingerboard inlays make this a real beauty, with sound to match.
This guitar was bought new by its one owner from a well known Taylor dealer in Sydney in 2016. It has been looked after meticulously and shows virtually no player wear – not even any marks on the pick guard.
It has had nothing changed on it except the strings and has recently had a service & setup by Luke Parry at Northern Beaches Guitar Repair. So it is playing great and sounding sweet both acoustically & when plugged in.
This lovely 614 would definitely suit a new buyer, but it actually feels better than a new instrument because it has settled over time and been played in nicely.
Comes in original hard shell case in as new condition.
