The Maton EM300 Natural Series Dreadnought is a classic workhorse designed for both home play and live gigging, it is robust and enjoyable to play with big sound, whilst being nice and easy on the wallet. What is lacks in appointments it makes up for with excellent string balance and powerful projection.
This EM300 is in wonderful condition for its age, with very few scars to show. A writing guitar for its one owner who purchased it long ago. It has very few dings, dents, scratches and the slightest amount of buckle rash.
Structurally this one passes all the tests. The neck is straight and adjusted to a medium low action. Truss rod works fine, as do the Maton closed back tuners. The adjustable bridge is in good shape and not cut too low.
This nice 90s Maton appears to be in original condition, with no changes or modifications. The frets show very little wear at all, there’s years of fret life left. And it plays well in all positions.
This Maton has a lovely warm and balanced voice - plenty of volume and resonance.
A good old road warrior with lots of miles left to go.
