Martin D-18 Authentic 1937 - USA 2007

Here is a Martin D-18 Authentic Series, a highly accurate recreation of the legendary 1937 dreadnought that captures one of the most important eras in Martin’s Golden Age of guitar building. Designed with period-correct construction and materials, this model delivers a true vintage-inspired playing experience in both feel and tone.

This example features a solid Adirondack spruce top paired with genuine mahogany back and sides, delivering the classic D-18 voice with strong midrange focus, crisp articulation, and excellent dynamic projection. The Authentic 1937 bracing pattern and hide glue construction enhance resonance and responsiveness, producing an open, dry, and highly musical tone.

This example features a historically accurate dreadnought body profile based on pre-war Martin specifications, offering a refined recreation of the original 1930s design. The result is a guitar that closely mirrors the look, feel, and tonal behaviour of the most sought-after vintage Martins.

Playability is excellent, with a traditional 14-fret neck design and comfortable profile that responds beautifully to both light fingerstyle playing and more aggressive strumming. The guitar delivers strong projection with a naturally balanced and mature tonal response.

Condition is very good for its age, having been well cared for since new in 2007. It presents clean overall with no significant dings or structural issues. There is light pick marking on the pickguard and a few faint surface lines on the back visible only under certain light, along with minimal fret wear.
