Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature - USA 2011
Pickup currently unavailable
Martin introduced the 000-28EC in 1996 as part of its Eric Clapton signature line, and it’s stayed one of the best-loved small-bodied Martins ever since. A 000 body with a 14-fret neck, it’s built for fingerstyle and flatpicking and sits comfortably in the lap. It has a clear, balanced voice that sounds good solo, in the studio or on stage.
This 2011 example has a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, with the amber tone the top picks up as it ages. It has a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a tortoise pickguard. Herringbone trim runs around the top, and the back has a plain centre stripe. The headstock carries a rosewood veneer with the Martin logo and open-gear tuners.
It’s in excellent condition, with only light pickwear on the pickguard. The top, sides and back show no issues, and it looks like it has been looked after by someone who knew what they had. It comes in its original Martin hardshell case with the burgundy plush interior.
A lovely 000-28EC that’s ready to play, get in touch for more information.
