A superb example of Martin’s timeless craftsmanship — this 00-28 from the Standard Series is just one week old, having been purchased sight unseen before the owner realised their hands were simply too large for the compact 00 body size. It presents as new and has barely been played.

Part of Martin’s long-running 28-style tradition dating back to the 1800s, the 00-28 pairs compact dimensions with full-bodied tone, offering the perfect blend of balance, clarity and warmth. The 00 body shape rose to prominence in the early 20th century as a favourite of folk and blues players, prized for its intimate feel and articulate midrange. Today, the 00-28 remains one of Martin’s most refined small-bodied models, built to the same high standards as their larger 000 and Dreadnought guitars but with an even more focused, responsive voice.

This current Standard Series iteration features scalloped X-bracing and an ultra-comfortable modified low oval neck with the High-Performance Taper. It’s incredibly easy to play, with exceptional string-to-string balance — perfect for fingerstyle and light strumming.
