SOLD - Marshall 1960AHW Handwired Quad Box - UK 2015

Here is a Marshall 1960AHW handwired 4x12 cabinet loaded with NOS Celestion G12H Greenback speakers, a premium interpretation of the classic late-’60s Marshall quad box. Designed as part of Marshall’s handwired AHW series, this cabinet is built using higher-grade materials, finger-jointed birch ply construction, and period-correct hardware to closely replicate the construction and tonal behaviour of original pinstripe-era cabinets.

This example is fitted with NOS-style Celestion G12H Greenback speakers, a key component in its tonal character. These high-powered, heavy magnet speakers deliver a tight and controlled low end, strong and forward midrange presence, and a smooth, non-fatiguing top end. They remain articulate at high volume levels, offering excellent clarity and dynamic response even under heavy drive, making them especially effective for loud stage use and detailed recording applications.

The combination of the AHW cabinet construction and G12H speakers results in a highly resonant, vintage-voiced 4x12 that delivers classic Marshall punch, warmth, and authority. It responds with the familiar immediacy associated with vintage cabinets while maintaining the consistency and reliability of modern production standards.

Condition is excellent with only light signs of use. A high-end cabinet option for players seeking authentic old-school Marshall tone, enhanced articulation, and the build quality of the handwired AHW series.
