Built in 2017, the Mad Professor Dual Blue Delay Custom Limited Edition expands on the original Dual Blue Delay with a series of factory requested modifications that make it one of the most desirable versions of the platform. Combining two completely independent delay engines within a single enclosure, it delivers everything from vintage slapback and tape echo textures through to expansive ambient repeats while remaining intuitive to operate.

The Short Delay channel has been revoiced to faithfully recreate the warm, tape like response of Mad Professor's acclaimed Deep Blue Delay, while the Long Delay retains its clear, modern voicing with delay times of up to 810 ms. Exclusive to the Custom model, one of the standard multi head delay modes has been replaced with an Echorec Position 7 inspired rhythmic pattern, producing the distinctive multi head repeats associated with David Gilmour and Pink Floyd recordings. Players can instantly switch between the Short and Long delay engines, engage both simultaneously in Parallel Dual Mode, or access the multi head tape echo modes, making the pedal equally at home as a straightforward delay or an expansive sound design tool.

Beyond its primary controls, the Dual Blue Delay Custom also includes a number of hidden functions that further extend its versatility. Holding the mode switch activates both delay lines in parallel, while the multi head modes are accessed directly from the footswitch. A hidden phase inversion mode is also available during power up, giving players additional flexibility when integrating the pedal into complex rigs.
