From Godin –
“The Godin A8 mandolin mixes traditional tone woods with modern design concepts and electronics. The two-chamber body is routed from a solid block of mahogany and capped with a solid spruce top.
The top is voiced with a unique combination of X and fan bracing that produces exceptional sound and projection even when played acoustically.
Plugged in is where the A8 truly excels. The individual RMC saddle transducers run through an RMC preamp voiced specifically for the A8.”

This is a fine sounding mandolin acoustically, but as pointed out in Godin’s blurb above, the pickup system is what sets this modern mando apart from many competitors. It really does work well. The specially voiced pre-amp works its magic to deliver a delicious and very accurate amplification of the acoustic instrument.
This A8 mandolin was bought new less than a year ago and apart from some very faint pick swirling below the strings and a few light scratches on the back, this one could pass as new. It would certainly suit a new buyer at a good discount from RRP & street price.
Comes in its most professional fitted Godin gig bag in new condition.
