‘Our shrine to the heritage and legacy of those pioneers who made us what we are today. The Fender Custom Shop reached new heights of craftsmanship with its acclaimed Time Machine series—artfully “relic-ed” guitars and basses that revolutionised the entire concept of “reissue” instruments. The Custom Shop has since ventured even higher by crafting meticulous replicas using the same techniques and tooling used to create the originals all those years ago.’
This is a very tasty guitar, made to feel just right by the Fender Custom Shop. It is relatively light and surprisingly resonant even unplugged. The light relic treatment is subtle, with not too much “damage” inflicted and only light tarnishing of the metal parts which presents as very natural.
This guitar is actually a refinish – originally a heavy relic vintage white, it was re-finished in Lake Placid Blue nitro and lightly relic’ed by industry respected luthier, Frank Grubisa.
It is in excellent overall condition, with no modifications that we can see & everything works as it should. Some minimal fret wear to the B & G string areas, but plenty of fret life left, tuners are solid, quality tremolo bridge intonates well.
One-piece maple neck and rosewood board with a rear walnut skunk stripe, centre dot inlays, truss adjustment at the heel.
A true Fender classic with the right vintage feel, without the vintage price tag.
Comes with its original Fender hard shell case in good condition, candy and COA.
