Fender American Vintage '62 Custom Telecaster Reissue (AVRI) - USA 1999

The Fender American Vintage Reissue (AVRI) '62 Custom Telecaster is a faithful recreation of one of Fender's most elegant and refined Telecaster designs. Originally introduced in 1962, the Custom Telecaster featured a double-bound body, a rosewood fingerboard, and a three-tone sunburst finish, making it a more sophisticated take on the classic Telecaster. The American Vintage series, produced in the USA, was Fender’s top-tier line for vintage-accurate recreations, offering exceptional build quality and period-correct details.

This 1999 AVRI '62 Custom Telecaster stays true to the vintage specs, featuring a lightweight alder body, a 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard, and AlNiCo 3 '62 Custom Tele pickups that deliver the signature Tele twang with added warmth and depth.

This Telecaster offers bright, articulate tones with excellent clarity and resonance, perfect for country, blues, rock, and jazz. The brass saddles and alder body contribute to a balanced, punchy sound with great sustain. The subtle “V” profile maple neck feels smooth and comfortable, allowing for easy chording and fluid lead playing. The vintage-style frets show little wear, ensuring effortless playability.

This guitar is in excellent condition, with only some light scratches on the top and minor tarnishing on the hardware, adding to its vintage character. The frets show minimal wear, and the neck is clean and smooth. The string tree has been replaced, but all other components remain original.

This '62 Custom Telecaster Reissue is a stunning vintage-style Tele with premium tone, classic aesthetics, and smooth playability. It comes with its original hardshell case.
