Alejandro Cervantes developed a passion for guitar-making from a young age and pursued his dreams of becoming a luthier. He honed his skills and craftsmanship under the guidance of some of the finest guitar makers in Spain. With a deep understanding of traditional guitar construction techniques, Cervantes embarked on a journey to create his own line of instruments, blending tradition with innovation.
In the early years of Cervantes Guitars, Alejandro Cervantes focused primarily on building classical guitars, following the Spanish guitar-making traditions. His instruments quickly gained recognition for their exceptional playability, tonal quality, and meticulous attention to detail. As his reputation grew, so did the demand for his guitars.
Cervantes Guitars became known for their commitment to craftsmanship, using premium tonewoods, exquisite detailing, and a relentless pursuit of sonic perfection. Each guitar is meticulously crafted by hand, reflecting the luthier's dedication to quality and his deep respect for the instrument's rich heritage.
The Cervantes brand has continued to evolve and innovate over the years. They have introduced various guitar models, including the Crossover series like this example, which combines elements of classical and steel-string guitars, appealing to a wider range of players seeking versatility and flexibility.
This Cervantes Crossover II presents in immaculate condition with very little player wear to speak of. It has a beautiful, warm voice and is a delight to play. The K and K pickup system is a highlight of the instrument, capturing all of its acoustic richness astoundingly well. A rare and unique guitar made by one of Spain’s most respected luthiers.
