‘Here is the Maranello Black Top with three channels; Clean/Drive/Overdrive, delivering a range of sounds to suit any playing style. 

The clean channel defines all Brunetti amplifiers and has excellent dynamic response with warm and clear tones. The drive channel delivers a gently overdriven sound, somewhere between ‘clean’ and ‘overdrive’ channels with half distortion and high definition. The ‘overdrive’ channel needs no introduction. However, the Black Top has a more fluid character than the original Maranello model and a highly defined sound is maintained even at high gain levels. 

The control knobs are simple and easy to use. Start by setting the BASS, MID and TREBLE controls to the twelve o’ clock position for both CLEAN and DRIVE channels. Then set the GAIN and VOLUME individually. You can then adjust the controls to find the sound you need. The three-position switch located between the ‘clean’ and ‘drive’ channel controls is used to select CLEAN, DRIVE or OVERDRIVE channels. The channel selected will be indicated by a green, yellow or red light respectively. 

To the right-hand side of the front control panel there are two more switches and an adjacent LED to indicate for MAIN (red) and STANDBY (green) power settings. To the rear of the unit there is a further switch to select either the 5W or 20W amplifier circuits to suit practice or gig use.’
