B&G Private Build 'Little Sister' - Israel 2021
Pickup currently unavailable
From B&G:
'The story of the Little Sister began with the puzzling question of how the early delta bluesmen fascinated a listener with a guitar and their simple, yet soulful vocal lines.
We collected samples from the 1920s and 30s, many of which were in poor condition and needed complete restoration, and began to create the unique design that would best serve the guitar sound we became hooked on. And so the Little Sister was born.
The original design & finish of the very first Little Sister is the cutaway version. It has the same features as the first B&G guitar. This Little Sister model brings out exactly what our founding luthiers had in mind. After years of research, Kiki & Eliran created this magnificent blues machine.'
This B&G Private build is a little beauty - Private Build being B&G's equivalent of Custom Shop. This guitar is so much fun to play, it is light and responsive and seriously well put together. This 'Little Sister' was built in 2021 and presents extremely well, there are only very few small marks on the Cedar of Lebanon top, the African mahogany body displays not scratches or buckle rash and the slight 'V' profile mahogany neck is super-clean, free of any blemishes. The Indian Rosewood fretboard is a joy to navigate with the frets showing next to no wear. The hardware has a lovely, vintage tarnish aesthetic which is how these guitars come out of the B&G factory.
This B&G has a real vintage feel about it. The neck has some good chunk to it, not a baseball bat, but certainly plenty of meat there. The pair of hand-wound P-90 pickups sound excellent with plenty of bark and sparkle and nice cleans as well, when rolled off.
This is a fine instrument that is really enjoyable to play, shows plenty of versatility and has been built with the finest materials and superb craftsmanship.
Comes in its original B&G HSC with Certificate of Authenticity.
