Art & Lutherie AMI Cedar – Canada 2007

Here is an Art & Lutherie AMI Cedar acoustic guitar, a beautifully crafted Canadian-made instrument from the Godin family of brands, designed to deliver high-quality tonewoods and craftsmanship at an accessible level for working musicians. This model reflects Robert Godin’s long-standing philosophy of combining traditional build quality with practical, player-focused design.

Built with a solid cedar top, the AMI Cedar produces a warm, open, and responsive tonal character with excellent sensitivity to fingerstyle dynamics and lighter strumming. The top is pressure-tested to enhance rigidity and improve overall resonance, resulting in strong harmonic vibration and a lively, balanced acoustic response.

The back and sides are constructed from three-ply wild cherry laminate, offering durability and tonal consistency while contributing to a focused midrange and clear projection. The compact body design makes it comfortable to play while still delivering impressive volume for its size.

The neck is crafted from silver leaf maple and paired with a rosewood fingerboard, providing a smooth, familiar playing surface with reliable stability. A rosewood bridge with compensated saddle enhances intonation accuracy and sustain across the instrument.

The nut and saddle are made from Tusq, a synthetic material designed to replicate and in some cases exceed the tonal efficiency and durability of traditional bone, contributing to improved clarity, sustain, and tuning consistency.

Condition presents well, with only light signs of use expected from a well-kept instrument. Structurally sound and well maintained, it remains a reliable and comfortable player.
