Andrew Duganzich Classical – Australia 2017

Here is a 2017 custom-built classical guitar by Australian luthier Andrew Duganzich, a highly regarded builder based in Melbourne with over three decades of experience crafting both electric and acoustic instruments, including work for major artists during his time at Maton. This instrument reflects his refined classical building expertise and attention to tonal detail.

This example features an Engelmann spruce top paired with Indian rosewood back and lined sides, producing a warm, resonant voice with strong sustain, clear articulation, and a rich harmonic palette. The combination of tonewoods delivers depth and balance across all registers, with excellent dynamic response.

This example features an Australian cedar neck reinforced with carbon fibre for added stability, paired with a West African ebony fingerboard and Indian rosewood bridge for smooth playability and tonal clarity. The construction reflects a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern reinforcement techniques.

Playability is exceptional, with a comfortable neck profile and responsive feel that supports both expressive fingerstyle playing and more dynamic classical techniques. The instrument is highly sensitive to touch, offering a wide tonal range and nuanced control.

Condition is excellent, showing careful ownership and minimal signs of use. The guitar presents cleanly throughout with no significant wear, and has been well maintained since its build. All structural elements remain solid and stable.
