This 2006 Fender 1957 Twin Reissue amplifier is for all intents and purposes an accurate reproduction of the original 1957 Fender Twin Amplifier, with a few practical modifications to bring it up to modern functionality standards.
The lightly lacquered tweed cabinet houses two Eminence 12” Fender Special Design speakers. The only modification is the upgrade to a nice thick leather handle.
The 40 Watt Fender ‘Low Powered’ twin is the sweet spot for many gigging musicians. Unlike its 80 watt bigger brother, the 40 Watt twin has a nice break up at a loud gigging volume, adding hair and character to your notes while still having plenty of headroom for effects and your own drive pedals if desired. This amp has two rectifier tubes, one of which can be removed to add to the amp compression and saturation at lower volumes.
This amp produces a classic tweed fender sound with enough grit and chime to satisfy any vintage rock and blues guitarist.
For an amp that is from 2006, the condition is exceptional. It presents as almost new, with little to no signs of wear on the tweed finish, or damage to any electrical components. An excellent, classic Fender tweed amp, perfect for the stage or showroom.
