The story begins in the early 1990s when Eric Clapton visited the Martin factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Clapton, known for his distinctive fingerstyle playing and bluesy tone, expressed his desire to have a signature model that embodied his preferences and playing style. Impressed by Clapton's musicality and artistry, Martin saw an opportunity to create a guitar that would bear his name.

The result of this collaboration was the Martin 000-28EC, first introduced in 1995. The "000" in the model name refers to the guitar's body shape, which is smaller and more comfortable than Martin's larger dreadnought models. This guitar is so comfortable to play, with a rich tone and serious projection unsurpassed by few 000 style guitar we’ve ever come across.

There are few discernable signs of use except for a few light pick marks on the guard. The timber is unmarked, the metal untarnished, frets look unplayed, and the whole package presents virtually as new. It is in absolutely fabulous condition for a 20 year old guitar. And it’s only going to get better.

Comes in its original Martin hardshell case in excellent condition.
