    ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Phil Collen, the lead guitarist for Def Leppard, has been a dedicated Jackson endorser since 1986. As a member of one of the world’s top-selling rock bands, Collen has crafted numerous classic riffs using Jackson guitars, leaving an indelible mark on the rock scene. His partnership with Jackson is a pivotal chapter in both his career and the company's history, making it impossible to envision the rock charts of the '80s and '90s - or the evolution of Jackson guitars - without his influence.

Collen's affiliation with Jackson began during a transformative era for both the band and the brand. His precise and powerful playing style, combined with Jackson's innovative guitar designs, created a signature sound that became synonymous with Def Leppard’s success. Hits like "Pour Some Sugar on Me" and "Hysteria" showcased his exceptional talent and the unique tones of Jackson guitars, cementing his role as a pivotal figure in rock music.

In 1989/90 Jackson Manufacture released a Phil Collen Signature PC1 Archtop in limited numbers, this one being only 1 of 100 produced (Serial # PC0038). It is said that these guitars were not built in higher numbers due to the labour intensive expense of hand sculpting the arches of the body. These sleek rock machines were crafted in the USA, and are not to be confused with the later, more common Jackson Custom Shop PC1 reissues.

This guitar is in immaculate condition, having spent very little time away from its case. As indicated by the pickup cavity cover on the back, this guitar was built for Greg Sanchez in 1989, the replacement cavity cover is no longer with the guitar.

This Jackson is the real deal - the J-100 and J-95 pickups sound incredible, the ebony fretboard is super-fast adorned with the gorgeous ivory sharkfin inlays and the JT-590 tremolo is simply awesome.

This is a rare, fast, rock-machine in mint-condition ready for its next custodian!
