This stunning Masterbuilt 1957 Strat is the work of one of Fender’s lead craftsmen, Jason Smith.
A Custom Shop veteran and son of longtime Fender R&D legend Dan Smith, Jason Smith grew up on Fender “It has always been in my family,” he said, “And I was always extremely interested in everything my father did.”
Rock music and Fender are part of Jason Smith’s DNA. Smith joined the Fender Custom Shop in 1995, and in 2006 completed a five-year apprenticeship under acclaimed Senior Master Builder John English.

This Masterbuilt ‘57 Strat features a beautiful and tastefully relic’ed two tone sunburst alder body that is one of the most authentic looking we’ve seen here at Premier Guitars. The aged white pickguard and control knobs pair well together with the aged nitro finish, giving off a naturally vintage look and feel.
The neck is a soft V profile and will appeal to anyone who appreciates the feel of Clapton Strats. The back of the neck is pristine and free of chips, dents or wear that could diminish the playing experience. The fretboard and headstock have a subtle satin finish that maintains the aged aesthetic of the guitar. Medium fret wire matches that of original 50s Strats.
The pickups are punchy and clear, with the improved versatility of a 5-position pickup selector. All in all, this is an expertly crafted guitar that does not disappoint even in the hands of the most discerning players.
