    ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This is the matching sibling of the just listed 62 AVRI Strat in Metallic Ice Blue, stock # 22043, here at PREMIER GUITARS in Sydney.

The Fender American Vintage Series encapsulates the essential designs from which all Fenders have evolved. Utilising original specs and tooling, Fender is still making them like they used to.

From the distinctive body and headstock designs, to the vintage pickups, these instruments replicate all of the physical and tonal aspects of their predecessors.

First introduced in 1960 as the Deluxe Model, the Jazz Bass has become one of the most played instruments in modern musical history.

All original Fender 'firsts' such as the off-set waist body, ultra slim fast-action neck, stacked concentric controls, and full-range bi-pole pickups are detailed in this faithful reissue.

    Pickup Configuration – SS

This bass was bought new back in 2000 and has been in a collection, along with its matching Metallic Blue 62 AVRI Strat – see PG listing #22043.

It has been carefully looked after and presents in as new condition. There is not a mark on it anywhere.

Like its matching AVRI Strat, there were very few of these Metallic Ice Blue 62 AVRI Jazz Basses ever made, and this one presents in untouched original condition with no signs of player wear.

It plays easily in all positions and has a fabulous sound with dead quiet electronics. The narrow string spacing on the neck is easy to navigate, and the bridge pickup in particular provides a nice edge that you just don’t get with P basses.

The original stack-knob Fender Jazz Basses have been priced out of reach for most players for decades now. They were only built for a few years in the early 60’s and collectors took most of them out of circulation years ago.

The Fender American Vintage Series is the closest you’ll get to the original forerunners, at a rather more affordable price point.

This sale includes its original case candy including bridge and pickup covers, although the body has not been drilled yet for these.

Comes with its original Fender brown tolex hard shell case in excellent condition.
