From Fender -
'Fender changed the music world forever in October 1950 with the first dual-pickup electric Spanish guitar—the Broadcaster. The instrument vaulted Fender into the mainstream of electric guitar, with gorgeous features and smart innovations including an ash body with a translucent blonde nitrocellulose finish, sturdy maple neck with rear-installed truss rod for solid stability (with a walnut “skunk stripe”), single-ply black phenolic pickguard, two loud-and-clear pickups and versatile wiring for three distinctive tone settings. Revolutionary as it was, however, the Broadcaster was short lived—produced only for a couple months until January 1951 because of an already-existing trademark on the name held by the Fred Gretsch Manufacturing Company, Inc. Enter the Nocaster.
In 2020, the Custom Shop resurrected this famously rare guitar in honour of its 70th anniversary. The Limited Edition 70th Anniversary Nocaster has a two-piece select ash body with off-center seam, available in four different Custom Shop aging packages—NOS Time Capsule, Journeyman Relic, Relic and Heavy Relic—all finished in the original “flash coat” lacquer.
Kyle McMillin brings 15 years of musical instrument experience to the Fender Custom Shop. A loyal Fender employee for 15 years, McMillin just finished a five-year apprenticeship under Principal Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov — working on nearly 1,000 guitars with the esteemed builder. McMillin now joins a team of the world’s finest guitar builders as a Master Builder at the Fender Custom Shop.'
This is a 70th Anniversary Kyle McMillin Masterbuilt Nocaster in excellent condition. With a killer lightweight ash body that has been tastefully relic'ed, a quarter sawn maple neck, '51 Nocaster "U" neck profile, these Nocasters have all the details and vintage vibe that make them a staple in the history of the electric guitar.
This is one of those special guitars with amazing tone and resonance. It features a particularly lightweight, two-piece body in the Honey Blonde finish, narrow tall frets, and a fingerboard radius of 7.25".
This Masterbuilt Nocaster has lots of character, it plays brilliantly, it is light and resonant, and sounds fantastic courtesy of the killer Custom Shop '51 Nocaster pickups which in our opinion are some of the best Fender Tele pickups you can buy. It is in super clean condition with no fret wear.
Comes in its original tweed Fender Custom Shop case in new condition.
