Vintage Fender Stratocaster – USA 1977

Here is an extremely clean Fender Stratocaster made in 1977 and finished in a classy Olympic White. It is in original, unchanged condition. It features a solid ash body and a bolt-on maple neck with maple fingerboard.    

This one is super clean for a 47-year-old guitar. It has some natural striations in the finish, a few light scuffs in its original shiny finish, but nothing significant. There are few light scuffs on the back, mainly on the black tremolo cavity cover, but almost no buckle rash to speak of, and there is no tarnishing of the metal parts. The neck is super clean front and back. There are no structural issues, and this thing feels great to play. 

The frets are in good shape with some wear, all electronics work 100%, the neck is clean & comfortable, and the pickups are solid and punchy. It has a 3-way blade switch, and the trem & truss rod work perfectly. 

It weighs in at 3.56kg / 7.84lb which is extremely light for a Strat out of the 70s – one of this guitar’s most attractive qualities, super light and responsive. 

This Fender Stratocaster has all original parts from the day it was purchased giving the classic tones and feel expected of this 1977 baby. 

All in all, an excellent, original 70s Strat in classic Olympic White finish, with that magnificent oversize headstock, rear skunk stripe and a 3-bolt neck joint that does NOT move or slide around. An absolute looker, with sound to match. 

Comes in its original Fender hardshell case in excellent condition, ashtray bridge cover and original Fender Stratocaster handbook that came with the original sale.
