SOLD - Fender Masterbuilt Vincent Van Trigt '62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic - USA 2023

This Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Stratocaster, built by Vincent Van Trigt, is a strong example of a ’62 inspired build with a more player focused approach.

Finished in Surf Green with a heavy relic treatment, the finish shows consistent wear across the body, with areas of the Surf Green worn back to the alder underneath. The ageing extends through the bridge, plastics, and hardware, keeping everything visually in line.

Based on a 1962 Stratocaster, it features a 60s style alder body paired with a maple neck and AAA rosewood fingerboard. The neck is carved to a 1951 “U” profile, offering a fuller shape in the hand while still feeling comfortable and supportive. Combined with the 9.5" radius and jumbo 6100 fret wire, it strikes a nice balance between vintage feel and modern playability.

Under the hood it is fitted with a full set of hand wound Bone Tone pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge positions. These offer a clear and balanced response, sitting comfortably between vintage output and modern usability. The guitar uses a Strat modern wiring setup, keeping things straightforward while still delivering a wide range of usable tones.

The hardware follows a traditional layout, with a vintage style tremolo bridge and a four bolt neck construction.

As pictured, the guitar comes complete with its original Fender Custom Shop case, certificate of authenticity, and shop floor traveller, all matching the build and confirming its details.
