A loving tribute to one of the most sought-after years in Stratocaster history, this 2022 Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom '59 Stratocaster hardtail is a beautifully executed reissue of the late-'50s classic — with vintage-accurate specs, premium tonewoods, and tasteful visual refinement. Finished in Sonic Blue with a Time Capsule gloss nitro finish, this model offers all the feel and detail of a true '59 Strat, minus the wear and tear.

The Time Capsule treatment means this guitar looks like it just left the Fender factory in 1959 — no relicing, no dings, just period-correct appointments, pristine finish, and immaculate build quality. The 2-piece select alder body is finished in a stunning Sonic Blue nitro, paired with a rift-sawn maple neck and a rosewood slab fingerboard, replicating one of the most significant transitional years in Fender’s history.

Playability is exceptional, with low action measuring 0.5mm at the 1st fret and 1.5mm at the 12th, and a soft “D” neck carve that strikes a perfect balance between substantial and smooth. Neck depth measures 20.71mm at the 1st fret and 25.28mm at the 12th, with a nut width of 42.37mm tapering to 51.89mm at the 12th fret, offering a fast, vintage-feeling taper.
