Gibson J-35 - USA 2013
Pickup currently unavailable
The first Gibson J-35 models, released in 1936, quickly garnered unanimous acclaim from players. It became renowned as one of Gibson's iconic "pre-war" flattops. However, in 1942, the J-35 was replaced by the J-45, much to the dismay of its admirers.
Reintroduced in 2012 by Gibson for a short period, these J-35's made a nice comeback, crafted to the same dimensions and scale of the originals with nice modern appointments including an L.R. Baggs pickup system loaded as stock and vintage style nickel tuners.
This J-35 offers a slightly lighter and brighter sound compared to the J-45. It delivers a full-bodied tone with the renowned Gibson sound across the entire dynamic range. Whether you're delicately finger-picking or strumming vigorously, the J-35 maintains its rich, dynamic voice.
This Gibson J-35 is in excellent condition, it is light and responsive and presents as an attractive and affordable option for players looking for that sought-after Gibson sound!
Comes in its original Gibson HSC.
