Vox

Vox Tone Bender V828 - UK c.1960s
Pickup currently unavailable
A rare late-1960s Vox Tone Bender V828, serial number 1568004, housed in its iconic wedge-shaped grey hammerite enclosure. This is the two-transistor Germanium version made in England by Sola Sound for Vox, closely related to the Mk1.5/Mk2 Tone Benders and a direct ancestor of the famous Arbiter Fuzz Face.
This unit features the original “VOX TONE BENDER” script and classic blue/grey pedal chassis with rubber tread. It’s fitted with its original black knobs and input/output jack layout on the sides.
Condition is worn but good—cosmetic scuffs and playwear consistent with age and use, but the enclosure is solid and the logo plate is still legible. Sonically, this is classic vintage fuzz: raw, responsive, and gloriously unstable in all the right ways.
An increasingly rare piece of UK fuzz pedal history, and a must-have for collectors and players chasing the tones of Beck, Page, and early Hendrix.
