Here is a 2005 Tokai LS-135 finished in Violin Burst nitrocellulose lacquer, a beautifully crafted Les Paul-style guitar that reflects Tokai’s long-standing reputation for producing some of the finest vintage-inspired instruments outside of the original American manufacturers. Since the 1970s, Tokai has been highly regarded for its attention to detail, premium tonewoods, and remarkably authentic recreations of classic ‘50s-era designs.

This example features a solid mahogany body paired with a carved maple top, delivering a rich, resonant tonal foundation with deep lows, warm and punchy mids, and clear, singing highs. The nitrocellulose Violin Burst finish not only highlights the natural grain of the maple but also allows the instrument to resonate freely, contributing to an open, organic tonal character that continues to develop with age.
