Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature - USA 2006

Here is a Martin 000 Eric Clapton Signature model in natural finish, a beautifully built USA acoustic that captures one of the most influential artist-driven designs in Martin’s modern history. The 000 series has long been a cornerstone of fingerstyle, blues and folk playing, and this Clapton-spec reissue draws directly from Eric Clapton’s famed 1966 000-28, the same style of instrument that helped define his celebrated acoustic sound during the early 1990s Unplugged era.

This example features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering the classic 000 tonal balance with a strong, focused midrange, clear trebles and a controlled, musical low end. The 000 body size offers comfort without sacrificing projection, while the modified V neck profile sits naturally in the hand and encourages expressive playing across the entire fretboard. The forward-leaning tonal character makes it particularly responsive to fingerstyle dynamics, while still holding its own under a flat pick.

Condition is excellent, presenting very close to new with minimal visible wear and no structural issues or modifications. The nitrocellulose finish has begun to subtly age, giving the top a warmer, slightly vintage character without affecting performance. The neck feels clean and comfortable, and the guitar plays effortlessly across all positions.
