James Goodall Rosewood Standard Series - USA 2007
Pickup currently unavailable
Built in 2007, this Goodall RS5327 Rosewood Standard pairs a AAAA grade Sitka spruce top with East Indian rosewood back and sides to produce an extraordinarily rich, balanced voice. Deep, piano-like bass notes are complemented by an open, articulate midrange and brilliant trebles, all wrapped in the shimmering harmonic overtones that have become synonymous with Goodall instruments.
Although similar in size to a traditional dreadnought, Goodall's Standard body is entirely its own design. It delivers impressive power and projection while retaining exceptional balance across the entire frequency range, making it equally rewarding for fingerstyle players, flatpickers, and singer-songwriters. Lightly built and carefully voiced, the guitar responds effortlessly to the lightest touch, yet offers exceptional headroom when played with more attack.
James Goodall founded Goodall Guitars in 1972 with a single objective: to build the finest acoustic guitars possible. Every instrument is individually hand built in Sparta, Tennessee, where James and Luke Goodall combine decades of experience with meticulous craftsmanship and carefully selected tonewoods. Rather than relying on elaborate ornamentation, Goodall guitars are designed to let the natural beauty of the timber and the remarkable voice of the instrument speak for themselves.
Tasteful appointments include figured Hawaiian koa binding, an abalone rosette, notched mother of pearl diamond fingerboard inlays, gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. Fitted with a James Goodall pickup and preamp system, it is equally at home on stage or in the studio, while offering the exceptional responsiveness, remarkable sustain, and level of refinement that places Goodall firmly amongst the world's finest boutique acoustic builders.
