Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Nachoburst Conversion - USA 2025
Pickup currently unavailable
A good Les Paul Standard can become a great one with the right hands on it, and this is a Gibson USA Les Paul Standard 50s that went through the Nachoguitars workshop and came out the other side with realistic 1958 to 1960 specs. It’s Nachoburst conversion number NB 0058, completed in December 2025, and it’s signed and sealed by Nacho Banos. It’s in excellent condition.
The work was thorough. The original finish was stripped and the maple top re-carved, then the neck profile was reshaped to a Vintage ’50s feel and the back of the body shaved to the correct vintage thickness. A new hand-carved bone nut went in, along with Nacho’s NAF humbuckers, hand-wired vintage-spec electronics and a full set of period-correct parts. The guitar was then refinished in vintage-style nitrocellulose lacquer and aged to a Faded Cherry Sunburst in the style of a 58 to 60 Les Paul.
It’s built on a one-piece mahogany neck and a two-piece mahogany body with a maple top and cream binding. The Indian rosewood fingerboard has trapezoid inlays, cream plastic binding and 22 cryogenically treated medium frets. It weighs in at 8 lbs 9 oz, which is comfortably light for a Les Paul, and that shows in how resonant it feels.
The pickups are the real story for sound. The NAF humbuckers read 8.85k ohms at the bridge and 7.28k at the neck, an uneven pairing that gives a warm, sweet neck tone and a bridge with bite. Combined with the hand-wired Nacho pots and bumblebee caps, it’s a recipe for clear, vintage-style tone with plenty of sustain. The details match, with aged 50s-style Bonnet amber knobs, an ABS pickguard, authentic M69 pickup rings, vintage-style Kluson tuners, and an aged stop bar and aluminium tune-o-matic bridge with aged brass and nickel-plated saddles and thumbwheels. It comes with a Gibson USA reissue brown case and the Nachoguitars letter.
A modern Standard with a vintage soul, and the paperwork to prove how it got there.
