This is a stunning Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt 1960 Stratocaster Relic – Brazilian Rosewood Limited, hand built in 2006 by renowned Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov. Finished in classic three tone sunburst with a genuine Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, this guitar represents the absolute pinnacle of Custom Shop craftsmanship and is part of a genuinely limited run.

Shishkov is one of the most highly regarded names in the Fender Custom Shop, known for his meticulous attention to period correct detail and his ability to recreate the look, feel and tone of a genuine early '60s Stratocaster. The body is crafted from lightweight select alder with a 'Thinskin' nitrocellulose lacquer finish, while the maple neck carries a mid '60s oval "C" profile and is finished in the same thin nitro lacquer for that all important resonance and aged feel.

This example comes complete with its original blonde Fender hardshell case with red interior and full case candy.

This guitar presents in excellent condition with a beautifully aged sunburst finish that photographs superbly from every angle. The Brazilian rosewood board is a standout feature, increasingly rare to find on any Custom Shop build and a major drawcard for collectors, paired here with a 7.25" radius for that authentic early '60s feel under the fingers.

Loaded with a trio of Custom Fat '50s staggered single coil pickups wired to master volume and dual tone controls via a 5 position blade switch, this guitar plays and sounds exactly as you'd hope from a Shishkov build, with the warmth, resonance and dynamic response that defines a great early '60s Strat, but with the reliability and consistency of a modern Custom Shop instrument. The American Vintage synchronised tremolo with ashtray cover and reverse direction 'Fender/Fender' saddles round out the period correct specification, along with Fender/Gotoh vintage style tuners and a vintage style wing string tree.

A genuinely special guitar for the serious collector or player who wants the vintage experience without compromise.
