The Fender Custom Shop '60 Telecaster Limited Edition Journeyman Relic represents one of the most spec'd-out Custom Shop Telecasters to come out of a Winter NAMM limited run, a genuine collaboration between master builder specifications and Custom Shop hardware selections rarely seen together on a single build sheet.
This 2020 example, finished in Aged Vintage White with a Journeyman Relic treatment, was built to Fender Custom Shop's W20 LTD 60 Tele specification. The body is genuine 2-piece alder, and the neck is a rift-sawn maple blank with a reverse-headstock flat lam construction, carved to a 60s-style oval C profile with a 9.5" compound radius fingerboard in AAA-grade rosewood. The neck carries a heavy relic treatment to the back, with paint deliberately left off between the 1st and 12th frets for a genuinely worn-in feel straight out of the case. Hand-wound '58-spec Tele pickups sit in both neck and bridge positions, paired with Fat 50s-spec Tele controls, a vintage-style bridge, and an engraved limited edition chrome neck plate. The pickguard is a period-correct 8-hole parchment relic, and tuning keys carry the vintage Fender logo Custom Shop stamp.
Presented in like-new condition, this guitar shows only light Journeyman-relic ageing exactly as intended from the Custom Shop, with no additional player wear beyond the factory treatment. Comes complete with the original Fender Custom Shop Strat/Tele brown hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, and full case candy.
