Fender 60th Diamond Anniversary American Series Stratocaster - USA 2006

2006 marked Fender's 60th birthday, and the American Series Stratocaster got a genuine limited-edition treatment to mark it rather than just a commemorative sticker. This is one of those: a 60th Anniversary (Diamond Anniversary) American Stratocaster, serial number Z6024767, with the Z6 prefix confirming 2006 production at Fender's Corona, California plant.

It's finished in the classic 3-Tone Sunburst over an alder body, paired with a satin-finished maple neck in a modern "C" profile, rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 medium-jumbo frets, 9.5" radius and the standard 25.5" scale. Pickups are a set of three American Vintage '57-style single coils, with the middle pickup reverse-wound/reverse-polarity for hum-cancelling in the in-between switch positions, run through a master volume and Fender's no-load "Delta Tone" tone circuit on the mid and bridge pickups. Hardware is chrome throughout, with a 2-point American synchronised tremolo and stainless steel saddles.

The anniversary details are where this one earns its name: a small "SIXTY YEARS" decal on the headstock alongside the standard spaghetti logo, and a 4-bolt neck plate stamped "FENDER 60 DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY 1946-2006." It comes with its original 60th Anniversary deluxe hardshell case and the full suite of period case candy, hang tags, strap, cable, polish cloth and owner's manual, all still present. Worth noting the original "FENDER 60 DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY" neck plate itself has a crack and is currently kept in the case rather than mounted on the guitar, still present and complete.

The guitar presents in excellent, well-cared-for condition consistent with its history, with no deviations from original spec noted.
