Here is a 2005 Gibson ES-335 Block ‘63 Reissue in cherry red, a superb Yamano Export Series example that captures the essence of one of the most iconic semi-hollow guitars ever produced. Based on the legendary 1963 ES-335, this model reflects the golden-era design that defined the balance between hollowbody warmth and solidbody sustain.
This example features a laminated maple semi-hollow body with centre block construction, delivering the classic ES-335 combination of resonance, warmth, and feedback resistance. The rich cherry finish and block inlays complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic, giving it an unmistakable early-’60s Gibson character.
It has been significantly upgraded to enhance both tone and performance. Fitted with a Faber wireless bridge and locking studs, the guitar benefits from improved sustain and tuning stability. A set of Dave Leddin handwound PAF-style humbuckers provides a vintage-voiced output with excellent clarity, warmth, and dynamic response. The Pigtail tailpiece further enhances resonance and overall acoustic coupling.
Playability has been elevated with a professional refret carried out by Frank Grubisa, resulting in a smooth, modern playing surface with excellent feel and precision. The neck is comfortable and well-balanced, making it easy to navigate across the entire fingerboard with confidence and fluidity.
