    SOLD

The 1988 Fender 40th Anniversary Telecaster is a limited edition, 1 of 300, guitar that was produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Telecaster's introduction in 1948 - and is a highly sought-after guitar among collectors and players alike.

Keith Urban famously plays this exact model with his favourite, affectionately named 'Clarence', currently residing in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.

The guitar features a number of unique design elements, including a tobacco burst finish over a highly figured maple top, gold hardware, and a special 40th anniversary decal on the headstock. The body is made of ash, and the neck is maple with a maple fingerboard and dot inlays.

Only 300 of these guitars were produced, which makes them extremely rare and valuable. This example is 11/300. The guitar's limited production run and unique design elements make it a highly collectible piece for guitar enthusiasts.

In terms of sound, the 1988 Fender 40th Anniversary Telecaster features the classic Telecaster sound that has made the guitar a favourite among musicians for decades. The guitar's ash body and maple neck contribute to its bright and twangy tone, while the single-coil pickups deliver a classic Telecaster sound that is perfect for country, rock, and blues music.

    Features:

    • Body: Ash
    • Top: Highly figured maple with tobacco burst finish
    • Neck: Maple
    • Fingerboard: Maple with dot inlays

    • Tuning machines: Gold Fender/Schaller locking tuners

This guitar has been meticulously cared for, and presents in excellent condition. There are some very small indentations in the top but barely noticeable - other than this, the guitar is extremely clean.

This 1988 Fender 40th Anniversary Telecaster 11/300 is a highly collectible and sought-after guitar that is prized for its unique design and classic Telecaster sound. It would make an excellent addition to any collection or a prized instrument for any serious player.
