Marshall 4001 Studio 15 Combo - UK 1987

Here is a 1987 Marshall Model 4001 “Studio 15”, a rare and highly sought-after 15-watt all-tube combo amplifier designed for studio use but equally capable in small live settings. Produced in limited numbers during the mid-to-late 1980s, the Studio 15 has become increasingly difficult to find, especially in well-preserved condition, and is prized for delivering authentic vintage Marshall tone in a compact format.

The amp is powered by a pair of 6V6 power tubes and features a 12” Celestion Vintage 30 speaker (8 ohms), giving it a distinctive tonal character compared to larger Marshall designs. Despite its modest wattage, it delivers surprising output, with rich harmonic saturation, tight low end, and the classic Marshall crunch that defined much of the rock and blues sound of its era.
