Hamer XT Series LP Jr Style  – 2007

Here is a Hamer XT Series double-cutaway solid-body guitar, part of the modern revival of the historic Hamer brand originally founded in Wilmette, Illinois by Paul Hamer, Jol Dantzig, James Walker, and John Montgomery. Known for their high-spec, Gibson-inspired designs, Hamer guitars earned a strong reputation in the late ’70s and ’80s with players across rock and metal, and this XT model continues that legacy as an accessible, well-built interpretation of their classic formula.

This example features a mahogany body with a carved maple top, delivering a traditional tonewood combination that produces strong sustain, warm mids, and a clear, punchy attack. It is fitted with dual humbucker pickups, each controlled by individual volume knobs and a shared master tone, along with a three-way selector switch for classic Les Paul-style versatility. A Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece ensures solid tuning stability and strong resonance transfer.

The neck has a comfortable medium “C” profile with a 24.75" scale length, 42mm nut width, and a relatively flat fingerboard radius, making it extremely comfortable for both rhythm and lead playing. Medium jumbo frets and a low action setup contribute to smooth playability, while the deep double-cutaway design provides excellent upper fret access.

Condition is excellent, having been lightly played and well cared for with no significant marks, dents, or structural issues. It presents as a clean, straight-forward, high-quality instrument offering excellent tonewoods and build quality well above its price range.
