    ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

For sale here is an eye catching, beautiful 1952 Gibson ES-300 in excellent condition - 1 of only 27 Blondes made in 1952! Its striking natural blonde nitro cellulose finish has aged into a gorgeous amber tint with minimal checking or player wear. The top, back and sides all display well matched and highly figured maple. This two pickup variant of the ES 300 was only available from 1948 until 1952. Its unique configuration of 2 pickups and full, non cutaway body set it apart from the more common two-pickup cutaway archtop design and truly represent a snapshot in time for the innovation of the electric guitar.

This guitar has very minimal wear and classes as a collector grade piece. The original, curved top P90 pickup covers are un-cracked with virtually no corrosion on the pole piece adjustment screws. The control electronics present no discernible scratchiness or noise when being used and the volume and tone controls function as they should.

The one-piece mahogany neck is smooth and largely unworn with a comfortable medium C profile, as with the rest of this guitar, the frets are in very good condition with some small noticeable fret indentations from 1st to 8th fret. The playing experience of this guitar is exceptional. One might find themselves dusting off some old Charlie Christian licks or thumbing some Wes Montgomery style octaves. The construction of this guitar is solid and easy for the player to forget the guitar is from 1952!The original Lifton case is in excellent condition also with that unmistakable vanilla scent these 1950s Gibsons are known for. This guitar has been enjoyed over the years however it has been meticulously cared for and ready to be appreciated by its new owner.
