The Gibson Custom Shop '58 Les Paul Standard is a faithful reproduction of the original 1958 Gibson Les Paul. It has been crafted to capture the look, feel and sound of a 1958 Les Paul. And it does not disappoint.

The legendary Les Paul evolved throughout the 1950s, but the major ingredients really came together when the LP earned a tune-o-matic bridge and gained two sweet PAF humbucking pickups to eventually become the most revered weapon in rock.

The Gibson Custom Shop brings together all the key ingredients of the hallowed ’58 Les Paul, crafted with Gibson Custom’s Historic specifications to ensure period-correct looks and features. Select tonewoods, an accurate ’50s neck profile, and two Gibson Burstbucker pickups join a gorgeous Faded Tobacco Burst finish with gently aged VOS (Vintage Original Spec) treatment to bring you a superb ’58-style Les Paul.

This particular ’58 Reissue has has zero modifications - the guitar is in completely original condition, unchanged since new.

The finish on the top, neck & headstock is unmarked. There is some extremely light swirling on the pickguard, but overall next to zero player wear. No dings, dents, or marks anywhere and only the slightest buckle rash on the back. The neck is the typical meaty 50s profile – plenty of wood here, but very comfortable to play in all positions.

The frets are fine with little sign of wear. The Burstbucker pickups sound great, and overall this guitar presents in excellent condition at a substantial discount to new price.

Unfortunately, the Gibson Custom Certificate of Authenticity has gone missing and does not come with the sale.
