Vintage Gretsch White Falcon 7594 - USA 1972
Pickup currently unavailable
A stunning and exceptionally original 1972 Gretsch White Falcon, model 7594, finished in its iconic signature Gretsch White with rare block inlays and all the bold, gold-laden styling that made the Falcon one of the most legendary electric guitars of the 20th century. This example includes the original Gretsch hard case, making it a true vintage standout from the Baldwin era.
With serial number 22202 or 32202, this guitar was built in February or March 1972 — a period that saw the White Falcon fully embrace its role as Gretsch’s top-of-the-line showpiece. It features a laminated maple body, laminated rock maple neck, and a bound ebony fingerboard with large block position markers. The original dual Hi-Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups deliver a distinct and articulate voice, with shimmering top end, focused mids, and a tight, responsive low end — perfect for players chasing vintage Gretsch clarity and bite.
Playability is superb, with a straight neck, low action, and frets in excellent condition. The finish is clean overall, showing only light lacquer checking typical of its age. The binding is fully intact across the guitar, with the exception of a small 1cm section missing at the top of the headstock — a purely cosmetic flaw that does not affect function. The front of the headstock has been lightly refinished, and the ‘Gretsch’ inlay has been professionally repaired, a common and well-accepted treatment for these models due to the fragility of the original materials.
All hardware is original, including the gold-plated tuners and Bigsby tremolo, adjustable roller bridge, dual flip-up mutes, 'G' knobs, and the classic gold pickguard with White Falcon motif. With its deluxe appointments and stage presence, this is a beautifully preserved example of a true Gretsch icon — full of style, tone, and vintage soul.
