Widely considered the finest modern interpretation of the vintage late-‘50s tweed circuit, the Lazy J J-20 has become the go-to amp for a staggering list of world-class players including Pete Townshend, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Joe Bonamassa, and Nalle Colt. And once you plug in, it’s immediately obvious why.

This particular 2025 Lazy J J-20 comes in near-new condition and features the purest version of the circuit — no reverb, no tremolo, just straight-up tone and touch. Built by hand in the UK using point-to-point wiring, housed in a lacquered tweed, finger-jointed pine cabinet, and loaded with a Celestion Alnico Blue, it delivers that unmistakable bloom, bounce and organic warmth that defines the Lazy J experience.

Powered by 6L6 tubes and a GZ34 rectifier, the J-20 also accepts 6V6s and 5Y3 for lower headroom, no re-biasing needed. A VAC (Variable Attenuation Control) allows you to tame output down to around 5 watts while retaining full tone and feel — a genius addition for home, studio or stage.
