Maton Mastersound - AUS 2007

This 2007 Maton Mastersound is a fantastic example of the Australian classic, finished in a striking mustard that gives it a cool vintage flair and sets it apart from the more common bursts and solids. Maton has been building the Mastersound line since the early 60s and it remains one of the great homegrown designs, known for its punchy character, rock solid reliability and unmistakably Aussie feel.

This example has all the things players love about the model. The lightweight body makes it comfortable for long sessions, the neck has that familiar Maton carve that sits beautifully in the hand, and the guitar feels lively and responsive even unplugged. Plugged in, it delivers that gritty articulate tone the Mastersounds are known for, with a bright top end, tight lows and a clear midrange that handles drive and clean tones equally well. It is a genuinely fun instrument to play and has a bit of attitude to it in all the right ways.

Condition is excellent for its age with only light marks and signs of play that are purely cosmetic. It presents very well and has clearly been looked after. A great Aussie workhorse with plenty of character and a finish you do not see every day.
