A remarkable recreation of Fender’s earliest production Stratocaster, this 2005 Masterbuilt Limited Edition '55 Stratocaster Relic was hand-crafted by Dennis Galuszka, one of Fender’s most respected and meticulous Masterbuilders. Built in the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, this guitar is both a tribute to the first-generation Stratocasters and a reflection of Galuszka’s exacting craftsmanship and vintage obsession.

Finished in a beautifully aged 2-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer, this Strat features a lightweight, resonant 2-piece ash body, and a lightly relic’d finish that perfectly captures the look and feel of a real mid-’50s workhorse. The plain grain maple neck has a smooth, broken-in feel, complete with Micarta black dot inlays, a 9.5" radius, and a bone nut — blending vintage visuals with modern playability.

Playability is superb, with low action set at 0.25mm at the 1st fret and 1.75mm at the 12th. The neck has a satisfying, rounded profile, measuring 22.25mm at the 1st fret and 24.82mm at the 12th, with a nut width of 42.07mm tapering to 51.8mm at the 12th fret — classic-feeling dimensions that sit comfortably in hand without getting in the way.

Loaded with a trio of Custom Shop “Strat Fat ‘50s NK NOS” pickups, this guitar has a broad tonal range — bell-like highs, fat mids, and tight, balanced lows. It excels at blues, surf, classic rock, and beyond, delivering touch-sensitive response and vintage-style clarity that rewards dynamic playing.
