Fender American Professional Telecaster Deluxe - USA 2016

If you like the snap of a Telecaster but want more weight behind it, the Deluxe is the answer. The 1970s original paired a bigger contoured body with two humbuckers, and the American Professional version updates that idea with modern Fender refinements and a very playable feel.

This one is from 2016, with serial number US16089994. The natural finish lets the open grain of the ash body show through, and the maple neck and fingerboard have black dot markers. With the black pickguard, the two chrome-covered humbuckers and the black tuner buttons, it looks smart and a bit tough. The contoured body is comfortable for long sessions, and the whole guitar is in excellent condition.

The humbuckers give a bigger, warmer and more powerful tone than a standard Tele, with less noise and a lot more drive once you push the amp. It still has the clarity that makes a Telecaster what it is, so it handles crunchy rock rhythm, bluesy leads and country picking equally well.

The original Fender hardshell comes with it, along with the case candy that shipped with the guitar.

Two humbuckers, one big black guard and nothing fussy: the Deluxe has always been a Tele that means business.
