Manufactured in November 1977, it was the 71st guitar produced that month, as indicated by its serial number 11-7071. During this time, Gretsch had relocated its manufacturing operations from Brooklyn to Arkansas, and the serial number format was updated, moving from the back of the headstock to a black-bordered paper label inside the body, which confirms its USA production.

This 1977 Gretsch White Falcon, model G7593, features several unique design elements that distinguish it from earlier models. Introduced in 1974, this Baldwin-era reissue incorporates black-top Filter’Tron pickups with large bezels, a sharp cut-away on the pickguard, smaller f-holes compared to earlier White Falcons, a plain-face headstock, and a simplified knob layout. These changes reflect Gretsch's evolution under Baldwin ownership while maintaining the classic White Falcon aesthetic and tonal excellence.

The vintage tones of this White Falcon are rich and articulate, offering the signature Gretsch clarity with a warm midrange and shimmering highs. The black-top Filter’Tron pickups provide a dynamic and responsive sound, perfect for anything from rockabilly twang to smooth jazz and everything in between. Whether played clean or with overdrive, this guitar delivers a distinct, full-bodied resonance that stands out in any mix.

In well-played condition, this White Falcon shows wear and signs of age, including finish checking across the body, neck, and significant checking on the headstock. The gold hardware exhibits tarnishing, while the sparkle binding remains in good shape. The frets have some wear but still have life left, and the guitar offers low action with excellent playability. The neck is straight, making it a joy to play. The combination of its distinctive design elements and signature Filter’Tron tone makes it a remarkable instrument for those seeking vintage character with a unique historical background. A true statement piece, this guitar embodies the craftsmanship and innovation of Gretsch during the late 1970s.

Comes in its Gretsch OHSC.

Features:

Action at 1st fret: 0.25mm

Action at 12th fret: 1.25mm

Neck depth at 1st fret: 19.96mm

Nut Width: 42.18mm

12 fret width: 52.29mm

Weight: 4.44kg / 9.79lb

Model: G7593

Year: 1977

Serial Number: 11-7071

Body: Laminated maple

Finish: White with gold sparkle binding

Neck: Maple

Fingerboard: Ebony with mother-of-pearl inlays

Pickups: Dual black-top Filter’Tron humbuckers

Bridge: Adjusto-Matic with gold-plated original Bigsby vibrato tailpiece

Tuners: Grover Imperial gold-plated

Scale Length: 25.5"

Controls: 1 Volume, 1x Toneknob, 1 x Toneswitch, 1 x PU-Selector, 1 x Master Volume

Origin: USA

Case: OHSC

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0283/1905/6012/files/1_87a08a59-45b6-4911-bfb1-89664dff7407.png?v=1737427287
