It was the first Fender amplifier to incorporate on-board reverb which became a standard feature on many high-end Fender tube amps during the 1960s and 1970s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eStevie Ray Vaughan’s musical influence has really hyped the blackface Fender Vibroverb. He used 2 in tandem to create his unique sound, and because of him the Vibroverb has become one of the most expensive and sought after Blackface amps on the market.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eSo, what is so special with the Vibroverb?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ePrimarily, the 15″ speaker sets it apart from most guitar amps. While most guitar amps have multiple 10″ and 12″ speakers the Vibroverb came with a big Jensen C15n or a JBLd130, which delivers a huge bottom end and wide dimensional sound.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe Vibroverb belongs to the 6L6 Fender family. It is powerful and loud, but in a different way than the 10″ and 12″amps. The Vibroverb initially did not sell very well in 63 and 64. Guitarists possibly thought the amp was more suited for bass players, but the Vibroverb did score big among steel guitar players at the time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe 15″ speaker is firm in the bass and has lots of sparkle but most importantly, it has an enormous spread, carrying the lower mids to anyone on stage and further afield. Mid frequencies are exactly what you need on stage in an electric band. And does it sound good ? – why YES.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis amp has a very warm and nuanced sound, with just enough clean headroom before pushing into saturated overdrive. The circuit offers EQ controls that have a very wide sweep for everything from classic hollow twang to warm, sweet sounds that will delight any rock, blues or jazz player.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis Verb delivers sweet, dynamic clean tones with incredible sparkle and a certain high fidelity clarity that is noticeable as soon as you strum your first chord.
