This is obviously a guitar that has been played --- a lot. But there’s usually a good reason for that – this is a damn fine guitar to play.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt sits in your hand like an old friend, and plays like it’s been telling musical stories for a long time. The pickups have some serious cut – lots of woody goodness from the neck pickup, some quackingly good bite from the bridge unit, and a very musical sounding middle pickup, which is often not the case even on otherwise good vintage Strats.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAt some point the body has been routed under the pickguard, most likely for an extra switch. Obviously now not needed, and not in view under the guard. But it’s there.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWe believe this Strat has been refretted at some point as the frets are more “medium” than vintage specs. Not much wear showing either. It’s a good pro job though, and makes this lovely old girl a pure joy to play.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe volume pot \u0026amp; one tone pot have been replaced, and there’s not much of the Fender decal still showing.
